CSI Type B Jacketed Valve: A Class
150, 3-inch, full port 2-Piece ball valve with Class 150, 4-inch flanges. Separate
fabricated jacket covers each half of the valve. Valve takeout same as Class 150, 4-inch
ball valve. |

| CSI Type C Jacketed Valve: A Class
300, metal-seated 6-inch ball valve. Flanges of the base valve have been modified by
welding tapped and threaded inserts into the bolt holes to accept 3/4-inch studs. Jacket
covers the valve flange to flange. The valve is fitted into the line by inserting studs
into the inserts through the bolt holes on the back sides of the adjacent mating flanges.
Valve takeout same as a Class 300, 6-inch ball valve. |

CSI Type D Jacketed Valve: A Class 300, 1-1/2-inch gate Valve with Class 300, 2-1/2-inch flanges. The
jacketed valve takeout is the same as a Class 300, 1-1/2-inch gate valve. This type of
jacketed valve is sometimes specified for use in areas where space is a premium or to
replace valves in older piping systems that were not originally jacketed. The short
takeout is often difficult to accommodate without using threaded inserts on the topmost
bolt holes on the flanges. |
